The machine in the field
The Bluebox-80 uses an uprated Bowman turbocharger with Bowman ETC-1000 turbogenerator technology and Mk5 power electronics. An integrated control system, co-developed with Bilfinger, simplifies connection to low-carbon heat sources.
Units are on test in Korea ahead of a green-steel installation. Follow-on machines are planned for biochar facilities in the UK and Germany. At Taylors Farm, a BB-80 sits on a Woodtek C-1000 pyrolysis plant and supplies both electricity and 800 kW of process air at 210 °C.
